Knipton church
All Saints’ Church at Knipton is a Grade II* medieval building closely connected to the historic Belvoir estate. The church stands on Church Hill overlooking the village and is architecturally representative of the 13th and 14th centuries, with its sturdy west tower and spacious nave flanked by aisles.
The 13th-century tower and chancel mark the earliest major phase, followed by a mid-14th-century enlargement that produced the nave arcade and north aisle. Later medieval alterations included the clerestory and roof. In 1869, the structure was given a substantial Victorian south aisle extension, which created the present three-aisled plan and added characteristic 19th-century detail. Maintenance issues in recent decades have resulted in its inclusion on Historic England’s “Heritage at Risk” list, underlining both its fragility and its heritage value. The church’s timeline is fully compatible with your intro: a 13th–14th-century medieval building shaped by Victorian additions.

Business Sponsorship - Support a church & find new customers...
Supporting All Saints Church in Knipton allows businesses to strengthen their local presence while helping maintain one of the Vale of Belvoir’s most historically significant churches. A modest billboard outside the church provides consistent visibility to villagers, walkers, cyclists and visitors to the Belvoir estate who regularly pass through this picturesque location. With around 280 local residents, an estimated 3,500 annual passers-by, and approximately 250 visitors to church events or services each year, your business could appear before a combined audience of roughly 4,030 people per year. Sponsorship for this exposure begins at £403 per year (£0.10/impression). To learn more, please click here…
