Saltby church
St Peter’s at Saltby is a Grade II* listed rural church standing apart from the village among open fields, giving it an ancient, atmospheric presence. Conservation surveys describe it as originating in the 12th century, placing it firmly in the Norman–early medieval phase. The church's simple plan and surviving medieval stonework reflect this early foundation, and although the building once had additional structural elements such as a north aisle, these have since disappeared.
Structural decline through the 18th and early 19th centuries led to significant intervention. The tower had to be partly dismantled and rebuilt toward the end of the 18th century, and by the 1880s the church required comprehensive repair. A major Victorian restoration in 1885 stabilised and refitted the building while preserving its medieval character, exactly in line with your intro statement. Although no confirmed Saxon stonework has been identified, the architectural story is that of a 12th-century medieval church with early features and a major 1885 restoration.

Supporting St Peter’s Church in Saltby gives businesses the chance to build a respected local presence while helping safeguard a remote and atmospheric 12th-century church. With around 170 residents, an estimated 2,500 annual passers-by, and around 200 visitors to occasional services or heritage events, your business could reach a combined annual audience of approximately 2,870 people.
